Bag-
or cart-specific accessories Rain hood or cover: Something to slip over the top of the bag to protect your clubs and other content from inclement weather. Dual strap: If you're unhappy with the strap on your carry bag, it is possible to buy an all-purpose dual strap separately and convert to a more back-friendly system. Club rack: If you've no dividers in your bag, then you can install a club rack which organizes and separates the irons within your bag. Cart mitts: Warm mittens to keep your hands warm while pulling or driving a cart between shots. Club covers: You can buy little covers to pop over the ends of your clubs to protect them in the bag. As well as the standard varieties, you'll find lots of innovative and novelty designs. Things
that go in your bag A towel or two: For drying clubs and balls (and you) during wet weather. Many bags have an external towel ring or holder, but you'll also want some covered space to keep unused towels dry. Umbrella: Top-end bags have a dedicated compartment for storing a golf umbrella. Extra clothing: You may need room in your bag to store gloves and outerwear in case of poor weather. Larger bags will have the necessary space for rain jackets and similar. Small coins: For marking your ball on the green. There's usually a small pocket or pocket on a bag for storing coins, keys etc. Divot repair tool: This small device is used to lift-up the little depression caused when a ball lands on a soft green. It's better described as a pitch mark repairer. Pencils: Something to mark your scorecard with. All these kinds of apparel and accessories are available from any good pro shop or golf retailer. |
